HOW IT STARTED
Chipp Coffee Co. was founded in 2016 by Zach as a company to run coffee roasting consultancy and his own one off small batch roasting projects.After 3 successful years working with coffee brands around the world and setting up a new base in his hometown of Leeds, Zach decided to go full-throttle with his own speciality coffee roasting business.
Service, Quality and Sustainability is at the heart of what keeps us pumping.We want to be able to offer any and all our customers a bespoke and impeccable service be it through on site training, workshops or just being there when you need us. Our quality is and always will be a top priority, Zach spends hours every week making sure we aren't just sourcing great coffees for you but also that our roasting is always at its absolute peak, through cupping and quality control we always aim to keep pushing ourselves to be better any way we can.

SUSTAINABILTY 🌱
Sustainability can sometimes be quite a broad term, in regards to business it's usually just about money but we want to bring our overall sustainability efforts to mean more than just economic sustainability.
We have been working on some long term plans over the last few years to bring our coffee sourcing to new heights, creating longevity with our partners but also a more direct approach. Over the coming years, you'll be able to see this all falling into shape as we move our sourcing practices to this new plan, we have actually already begun this journey with our friends at LaREB in Colombia, run by the ever amazing Ana Mustafa, LaREB work with coffee producers in the local
Risaralda region to bring forward and help export their amazing coffees directly to roasters like ourselves, helping create greater transparency and a more ethical supply chain.
Plus, as we move 100% of our Colombian coffees sourced through LaREB it will give us both greater security, and the long term sustainability of our businesses together.We are planning to do the same thing with Marcio & Heitor at Fazenda Cetec in Brazil this year and start to work more closely with other producers around the world.It's not something that is going to all happen overnight and may be a work in progress for the next few years but hopefully, this will be the start of some amazing sustainable partnerships.

We know not everyone likes a dark roasted coffee and not everyone enjoys a light roast either, so with our coffee sourcing we find coffees that we can highlight the best aspects of their flavours to suit different taste preferences.There are many different factors in coffee growing that can change the taste of the coffee and we always want to ensure the hard work of the coffee farmer can be tasted in every cup.
